5. Michigan State beats Duke on the road

This deserves to be on the list because it’s not often we see Michigan State and Tom Izzo beating Duke and Coach K. We’ve actually never seen this happen on the road.

Michigan State went into Cameron Indoor and made the No. 6 Blue Devils look bad — well, maybe they are just bad this year? It doesn’t matter, Michigan State still beat Duke and this is the second time we’ve been able to mutter those words in three years. Before the 2018 NCAA Tournament, Izzo’s struggles vs. Coach K were the topic of conversation but not anymore.

Not only did the Spartans beat Duke on their own court, they looked like the far superior team for the last 30 minutes of the game. A slow start didn’t doom them this time.

We saw the potential of a post-Cassius Winston team and it wasn’t all that bad but the Spartans have yet to reach that since.

Still, memorable win nonetheless.
