4. Michigan State shoots over 40 percent from deep

Through two games, Michigan State is shooting about 38 percent from 3-point range which is impressive considering the Spartans missed a ton of their open deep shots against Notre Dame.

This team can be elite at shooting but confidence is going to play a major factor.

In the first game, Rocket Watts didn’t have a ton of it as it was clear he was rusty, Foster Loyer had a ton of it, Gabe Brown had a ton of it, Joshua Langford is still gaining some and Joey Hauser is going to be a plus 3-point shooter when he gets going. Right now, he’s 0-fer on the season from deep but that’s not going to last.

And Marcus Bingham Jr. can shoot the deep ball and Malik Hall, too, when given some space, along with Aaron Henry, so expect this team to be jacking up plenty of long balls.

Michigan State will finish the month with a 3-point conversion rate of at least 40 percent.
