Losing 3-of-4 will be disappointing, but that’s a tough stretch that Michigan State will have to fight through and they’ll come out of it with a matchup against No. 23 Ohio State. The Buckeyes are one of the contenders in the Big Ten under Chris Holtmann. They bring in the No. 7 recruiting class in the Big Ten and lose Kaleb Wesson as well as DJ Carton. This will be a bounce back game for the Spartans and a feel-good road win.

Final Score: Michigan State 67, Ohio State 64 (13-5, 8-3)

After finally getting back on track with a potential ranked win at Ohio State, the Spartans will get a chance to build some momentum with a win over Nebraska at home. The Cornhuskers don’t have enough yet to keep up with the Spartans and this one could get out of hand.

Final Score: Nebraska 51, Michigan State 73 (14-5, 9-3)

A two-game winning streak leads into a road game against Michigan and the Wolverines are much better than that No. 25 preseason ranking, in my opinion. Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers make up one of the best duos in the conference and a solid incoming recruiting class should provide a punch along with a couple of transfers. Still, this one will go down to the wire.

Final Score: Michigan State 65, Michigan 66 (14-6, 9-4)

It’s going to be weird no seeing Pat Chambers on the sideline for Penn State after stepping down this offseason. The Nittany Lions won’t quite be as good as they have been over the past couple of years and Michigan State should win this one comfortably, avenging last season’s loss to Penn State in East Lansing.

Final Score: Penn State 58, Michigan State 69 (15-6, 10-4)

This game will have the same feel as that Michigan State vs. Iowa battle in East Lansing last year and this time around, Marcus Bingham Jr. will be that defensive force for the Spartans to combat Luka Garza. It’s going to be a high-scoring affair again but the Spartans will make the plays down the stretch and a late Rocket Watts three is the difference.

Final Score: Iowa 79, Michigan State 82 (16-6, 11-4)
