To be an immediate contributor for Mark Dantonio as a freshman, you need to have a couple of things: the right attitude and the skill level. Darius Snow has both.

Add in the fact that Snow is hungrier than most incoming freshmen because the lack of respect he has gotten from recruiting services has seemed to light a flame in him and you have a player not only ready to play right away, but potentially become a star.

Snow was once a high four-star recruit and saw his ranking drop slowly but surely when he committed to Michigan State. Now listed as a composite three-star and low-four-star per 247Sports, he’s ready to prove everyone wrong. Oh, and he plays a position that will be necessary to fill in 2020 with David Dowell leaving.

Dowell was more of a free safety while Snow has a strong safety body at 6-foot-0 and 215 pounds, but the Spartans need another body back there and he could compete right away.
