If you’re Mark Dantonio, you have to feel good about holding on to Ricky White. Teams were starting to catch on to the fact that he’s one of the most underrated receivers in the class. And the fact that he’s not a four-star is a major recruiting ranking disservice.

White was breaking school records in Marietta and had 92 receptions on the season, helping lead his team to the state title. He also did this:

The three-star receiver, like Terry Lockett, is an incredible playmaker and there’s talk that he has some serious No. 1 target potential — and it’s easy to believe when you watch his film.

White stands just 6-1 and 165 pounds, but he will add the weight when he gets to campus and he may even grow another inch or two. Even if he’s 6-1 and 190, or so, he will be around the same size as an Aaron Burbridge and he did pretty well in East Lansing.

It’s going to be really difficult for the coaching staff to keep White on the bench. I’d be shocked if his redshirt wasn’t burned.
