4. Terry Lockett, 3-star WR (Minneapolis, Minn.)

Unlike Frank Brown, Terry Lockett’s name has been on the radar for quite some time. Long enough that he was even an afterthought by many until he scheduled a visit — not because of his skill level but rather because there had been no news on him in recent months.

Lockett is actually expected to make it to campus for a big recruiting weekend starting on Dec. 13 and there’s a chance we could be on commitment watch.

The 6-foot-0, 165-pound receiver from Minnesota may not be the biggest target, but he has plenty of speed and looks like the perfect slot guy. He reminds me a little of RJ Shelton in the way he plays, returns kicks and punts and can act as a solid possession receiver in the slot. Both are also smaller wide outs.

Lockett is listed as the No. 621 overall recruit and 104th-best receiver in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.

Michigan State could use all the weapons it can get on offense moving forward and he’d join a relatively loaded receiving corps with guys like Jayden Reed, Julian Barnett, Tre’Von Morgan, Tre Mosley, CJ Hayes and Cody White next year.
