Top Michigan State football recruiting target Jaren Mangham could be close to making a college decision, according to a recent tweet.

It’s been a good week for Michigan State football recruiting. Despite losing four-star quarterback Dwan Mathis to Ohio State, via the dreaded flip of commitment, the Spartans added five-star offensive tackle Devontae Dobbs, the highest-ranked commit of the Mark Dantonio era.

The Spartans are awaiting decisions from two more top in-state targets which could both come Friday and may both be in favor of the green and white. Those two are four-star defensive end Michael Fletcher and three-star receiver Tre Mosley.

Another top target still on the board and potentially nearing a decision is four-star running back Jaren Mangham.

On Wednesday, he made a comment about everyone committing lately, making it seem like he may just be next.

This seemed to be in reference to a Devontae Dobbs tweet from three days earlier which he made a reference to everyone committing, yet he committed to Michigan State just two days later.

This reference makes it seem like he could be following Dobbs’ footsteps and committing to Michigan State — or just in general.

Michigan State’s biggest competition for the running back has to be Colorado right now as the Buffaloes just got an official visit and he seemed to more than enjoy his time — he even got a couple of Crystal Balls on 247Sports to Colorado.

Committing before his senior season seems like a good bed, but the Spartans will take his pledge whenever they can get it.

Mangham is ranked the No. 342 player in the class and ninth-best recruit in the state of Michigan, according to 247Sports. Keep an eye on a commitment within the next couple of weeks, or maybe even days.
