Spartan great Bob Apisa has a grandson by the name of Jacob Isaia and he has decided to follow in his grandpa’s footsteps and take his talents to East Lansing.

Isaia, a three-star center from Las Vegas, played for powerhouse Bishop Gorman and comes in with fellow teammate, three-star wide receiver Jalen Nailor. While I believe Nailor is also a relatively underrated recruit, Isaia is someone who could get some playing time in his first couple of seasons, backing up Matt Allen at center.

The three-star center is ranked the No. 1,027 recruit in the 16th-best center, according to 247Sports. He’s got ideal size at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds and that could make him versatile enough to play some guard as well. He even played some tackle at the prep level.

Isaia has quick feet and keeps a wide base, making it nearly impossible for defenders to bully past him. He has an endless motor and coaches love players who block to the whistle — he does just that.
