Michigan State plays an aggressive 4-3 defense but we could see Jeslord Boateng used to blitz on a regular basis. Just like Chris Frey did from the outside linebacker position, Boateng could be the focal point of blitz packages as he will use his speed and athleticism to get after opposing quarterbacks.

Boateng is athletic at the linebacker position and would be an impressive fit alongside Joe Bachie and Antjuan Simmons — after Andrew Dowell graduates.

The three-star linebacker could also be like Brandon Randle and get a shot to play a little defensive end. He stands 6-foot-2 and weighs just 210 pounds, but once Ken Mannie gets to him, the rest will be history. This is the type of recruit who could flourish in Michigan State’s system.

The Dublin, Ohio, native is ranked the No. 637 overall prospect and 44th-best outside linebacker, according to 247Sports. He is one of the more impressive players in the class and is also one of the most underrated.
