Let’s face it, Michigan State hits a rough patch essentially every year. It happened in 1999-00 when the Spartans lost to Wright State, in 2008-09 when they were 2-2 in a four-game stretch, losing to a couple of unranked teams at home, in 2009-10 when they lost three straight and in 2013-14 when they had a 5-7 stretch during Big Ten play.
