Michigan State basketball is expected to wear new black and neon green uniforms versus Indiana on Friday night.

It’s been a rough week for Michigan State, both the university and basketball team, but it’ll get somewhat of a pick-me-up on Friday night against Indiana.

What do I mean by this? Well, it looks like the Spartans will be sporting new alternate uniforms versus the Hoosiers in East Lansing for the 7 p.m. ET start, per Davey Segal on Twitter.

All you can see are the shorts being sported by Cassius Winston during shootaround, but it seems as if the actual jersey will be black with neon green writing.

Moreover, it seems as if Miles Bridges likes the new look, so that’s something, right?

The Spartans are in the midst of a three-game “slump” which has resulted in a 1-2 record and the lone win being an overtime triumph over Rutgers at home. Things need to change for this talented team if it still wants to compete for that Big Ten title.

Before you go hating the new look, just remember that the last time the Spartans wore new lime-green alternate uniforms two years ago against Maryland, it broke them out of their slump. They were in the midst of a three-game losing streak after a 16-1 start to the season and Matt Costello, Bryn Forbes, Denzel Valentine and the rest of the Spartans broke out the new look at home and beat No. 7 Maryland.

They went on to win 13-of-14 games to end the season before ultimately falling victim to Middle Tennessee in a shocking first-round NCAA Tournament upset.
