Harlond Beverly is a name that flies under the radar because of the loaded class 2019 is. Michigan State might have its sights set on bigger names, but Beverly wouldn’t be the worst option for the Spartans to fill the guard quota.

The 6-foot-4, 167-pound Southfield-native is a strong athlete for his size. He can drive the lane and score with no regard for human life and he’s quite the defender. He seemingly gets more pleasure out of blocking a shot off the backboard than he does scoring on his own.

The junior combo guard holds offers from Xavier, Toledo, Ohio State, Missouri, Baylor and Michigan State while Michigan and Wisconsin are also reportedly showing interest. He seems to have plenty of interest in Michigan State, even visiting back on Nov. 30, but it’s unclear whether Tom Izzo is trying hard to land him as a ‘Plan A’ target — I’d say yes since Izzo just offered him in October.

Beverly is ranked the No. 100 player in the class, the fifth-best combo guard and the third-best player in Michigan, according to the 247Sports composite.
