Michigan State Football: Every 2018 commit signs on Early National Signing Day
Each of Michigan State football’s 2018 commits has signed on Wednesday’s Early National Signing Day.
A year ago, Michigan State had an eventful National Signing Day experience. Donovan Winter, a three-star defensive end from Florida, was arrested and made headlines for his off-field issues. He also never signed with Michigan State and his parents left him in jail to teach him a lesson.

The year before, it was the Auston Robertson fiasco where he didn’t sign on National Signing Day, but he had to work his way back into the class. His career in the green and white didn’t last long, though.
Mark Dantonio needed a calm cycle, and he got just that on Wednesday as the new early National Signing Day approached and each of his 20 commits signed with the Spartans without hesitation. No drama, no off-field issues, just a strong-minded, hard-working group of recruits who are ready to come in and leave their marks.
The Spartans received Letters of Intent (LOI) from each of their 20 commits and there is still room for a couple more guys, according to the head coach.
Throughout this cycle, Michigan State has gotten a majority of its ‘Plan A’ targets such as Kalon Gervin, Xavier Henderson, Theo Day, Trenton Gillison, Michael Dowell, Jacob Isaia and Davion Williams. There are some diamonds in the rough as well such as Edward Warinner, Javez Alexander, Jeslord Boateng and Christian Jackson.

All-in-all, this might be one of the best classes Dantonio has ever signed before it’s all said and done. Needs are filled at just about every position and the depth is obvious. Oh yeah, and the talent is there, too.
