1. Bounce-back from Ohio State proves resilience, growth

How far has this team come since last year? I think the win over Maryland tells you the answer to that question. Last year, if the Spartans were to suffer a blowout, they would have folded and mailed it in. This season? Not even close.

Michigan State was coming off its worst loss in the Mark Dantonio era in Week 12. The Spartans had just dropped a road game to the Buckeyes, 48-3, and looked like they were headed in the wrong direction after a 7-2 start to the year. However, they came into the Maryland game with some confidence and showed that they can bounce back from a devastating loss.

Sometimes it takes coming back from a tough loss to tell people about a team more than recording a big win. The Spartans responded to an adverse situation (blowout loss) by coming home to take care of business and stay motivated against a reeling Maryland team.
