1. The game will come down to the final minute

I’ve predicted Penn State by double-digits, only because I think the Nittany Lions will put the game away while up 24-21 with a late touchdown run by Saquon Barkley. He will be stymied all game long on the ground, but an eight-yard scamper to seal the victory will send Michigan State fans home with a sour taste in their mouths.

The last time these two teams met in East Lansing, Michigan State routed the Nittany Lions on its way to a Big Ten East title. On Saturday, the Spartans will be looking to do the same, but instead of winning the division, they will just aim to remain in the chase.

However, the Nittany Lions will wear this team down. There’s so much depth on the Penn State roster and that will make Michigan State crumble on the final Penn State drive to seal the victory.

Barkley’s touchdown may make it a 10-point game, but Michigan State will drive the field with under 1:30 in the game and get to the red zone before Brian Lewerke throws an interception to seal the deal. This one will be much closer than people think.
