1. Michigan State will be lucky to finish with six wins

Is this really an overreaction after that Notre Dame loss? Absolutely. While the Irish loss was a tough pill to swallow, knowing that it had more to do with the Spartans beating themselves than Notre Dame dominating has to make the coaching staff, and fans, feel better.

Imagine those three crucial turnovers didn’t take place. The game could have been completely different. Subtract a pick-six, add a touchdown instead of the LJ Scott gaffe and take away a score from the Irish after that fumble. The game is much closer and may have gone down to the wire.

In a perfect world, that may have happened and we would be talking about the 3-0 Spartans heading into a game against Iowa that may be the only obstacle standing between Michigan State and the next AP Top 25.

However, it’s not a perfect world and Michigan State did turn the ball over three times which led to three Notre Dame touchdowns. This is a young team and growing pains will happen. This team is talented enough to make a bowl.
