Michigan State Football: 3-star LB Chase Kline visiting Monday
Michigan State football will be getting a visit from top linebacker target Chase Kline, a three-star from Ohio, on Monday.
Commitment watch is a real thing and Michigan State football may currently be on one as three-star 2018 linebacker Chase Kline is on campus. The Chardon, Ohio, native would just add to the “Ohio to MSU” hashtag that’s been trending on Michigan State Twitter for this class and he’s a perfect fit.

Kline is an aggressive linebacker who fits the Spartan mold and could be next in line to follow the footsteps of Max Bullough, Riley Bullough and now Joe Bachie at middle linebacker. Mark Dantonio loves kids who aren’t afraid to smack a ball-carrier at the line of scrimmage and get right back to work the next play — who wouldn’t love that?
Not only can he step up to stuff a gap and prevent the ball-carrier from crossing the line of scrimmage, but he’s patient enough to read a quarterbacks’ eyes and pick up on a pass play. Heck, no quarterback should be throwing over the middle of the field, because Kline will lay the receiver out cold.
The three-star from Ohio has been high on the Spartans since receiving an offer on June 17 and early playing time could play a major role in his choice of college. That puts Michigan State near the top of the list for him.
Dantonio could get his third linebacker commitment in the class on Monday, or shortly after.
