Michigan State recruiting has three targets now in the top-30 of the Rivals’ 2019 rankings. It could be another top class.

Tom Izzo has been doing a fantastic job of recruiting lately and Michigan State has thrived because of it. While the 2016-17 season was a disappointment, there’s reason to believe that the 2017-18 campaign will be one of the Hall of Fame head coach’s best yet.

Bringing in guys like Jaren Jackson Jr. and Xavier Tillman, there’s still room for 1-2 more recruits and that could mean adding guys like Mark Smith, Brandon McCoy or Brian Bowen.

The 2018 recruiting class is solid as well with Foster Loyer and Thomas Kithier, but there’s still room for improvement on each of the next two cycles. However, the 2019 class could wind up being Izzo’s best since the Miles Bridges, Josh Langford, Cassius Winston, Nick Ward haul.

In fact, Rivals just released its latest top 150 for 2019 and there are three Michigan State targets who cracked the top 30.

Michigan State is in good shape for each of these guys and there’s reason to believe all of them will be Spartans in two years time. The staff just stopped in to see Romeo Weems from New Haven, Mich., on Tuesday and they are making sure he knows he’s a priority.

Tyger Campbell, a four-star point guard from La Lumiere, might reclassify to 2018, but for now he’s the No. 24 player in the class. He could come in and be the next great Michigan State point guard. Michigan State is the team to beat for him as well as Keion Brooks, who the staff also visited this week.
