When your quarterback throws for 398 yards someone has to be on the receiving end of that. The receiving corps as a whole had a fantastic day. Going back to the Rutgers game, Aaron Burbridge and Co. have really gotten into a rhythm and it has been a pleasure to watch.
Burbridge lead the way again with eight receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown. In his final year, he’s absolutely living up to the hype he came to East Lansing with four years ago.
R.J. Shelton also had a fantastic day, he made two fantastic catches for touchdowns to go along with his 76 yards. Shelton is turning into a solid receiver, more than just a jet sweep guy, which is exactly what the Spartans need to compliment Burbridge.
Cook has a vast amount of weapons to choose from and it appears that they are hitting their stride at the perfect time of the season. Burbridge, Shelton, Price and Macgarrett Kings Jr. need to continue to leave big footprints in games.
It’s obvious that at times the defense is going to give up points so it will be up to the best player on the team, Cook, and his receiving cohorts to lead MSU to victories.
