Not a dominating performance by either closer to the adequate side. The offensive line is clearly still trying to mesh together as so many different combinations have played together. Connor Cook was under pressure for fair amount of the game, even having to leave after taking a hard shot to the ribs.
The running game never took off as Spartan Nation has become accustom to until the very end of the game when the Indiana defense was clearly worn down. The hope is that with the upcoming bye week everyone can get healthy and the group that started the year will be back on the field against Nebraska.
Coming into the game a key that most thought Michigan State would need to take advantage of was their defensive line applying pressure on quarterback Nate Sudfeld without having to bring a blitz.
In the second half the pressure was applied which was able to lead to several key stops, in the first half it was nonexistent as the Indiana offense marched up and down the field. With an ailing secondary it is going to be of the utmost importance that the Spartan defensive line can dominate to help out their secondary brothers.
