Caleb Rowe’s horrid start to the 2015 season just keeps getting worse as the first-year Maryland quarterback has thrown 11 interceptions through five games. There has to be a time in which the coaching staff looks elsewhere for a starter, but Daxx Garman didn’t do much better when he played, completing just 2-of-9 passes.

The Terrapins definitely looked like the worst team in the Big Ten against Michigan, finishing with just 105 total yards, but that can mostly be attributed to the Wolverines’ stellar defense. Things are only going to get tougher for the Terrapins as they could easily lose their next five games.

Purdue was rocked through three quarters, trailing 21-7 with no sign of life heading into the fourth quarter, but sloppy and conservative play-calling by the Spartans helped the Boilermakers climb back into it, scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter while Michigan State let long drives die with one made and one missed field goal.

In actuality, the Boilermakers didn’t look at all impressive, outside of Markell Jones who continues to be the most effective back. David Blough struggled, but the Boilermakers took advantage of missed MSU opportunities to make the score look closer than the game actually was.

With a bye week coming at a good time, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are looking to make Big Ten play more of a success than non-conference play. Although the Scarlet Knights were 2-1 in non-conference play, they just didn’t look together and many are wondering when the dumpster fire that is the coaching situation will really take its toll.

That could happen this week when Rutgers faces No. 4 Michigan State at home.
