This week, I’m going to switch it up a bit and add guys from both sides to this list. For Purdue, I think senior receiver Danny Anthrop is due for a big game. He is the best returning receiver on the team and although he may not lead the Boilermakers in receiving yards, he is always going to be the guy to key on in the passing game.

With a freshman quarterback starting for the Boilers, Anthrop will be looked at to be the sure-handed target for Purdue. He might just be third on the team in receiving with 124 yards and a touchdown, but he leads Purdue with 16 receptions.

Some might argue that DeAngelo Yancey and Cameron Posey are more dangerous targets given Anthrop’s 7.8 yards per catch average, but he had 38 catches for 616 yards and four touchdowns, a 16.2 yards per catch mark, a season ago before going down with a season-ending knee injury in the team’s ninth game.

Heck, last year he torched the Spartans for his best game of the year, racking up 133 yards on nine catches. I expect more of the same this season with a suspect MSU secondary.
