3. Run game will make a comeback

Crazy to even think that the run game struggled last week after looking so impressive through weeks one and two. To be fair, the offensive line was struggling to make holes with eight, nine and 10 guys stacked in the box for Air Force, resulting is a measly 1.8 yards per carry average for the entire afternoon.

Madre London will start the game for the Spartans, as he has for the first three games, and finish the opening drive with 30 yards and a touchdown scamper. He will then give way to L.J. Scott on the second MSU drive and the true freshman will add 30 of his own.

The two will go back and forth all day long, trying to out-perform each other — in a friendly manner, of course — and the run game will finish with over 200 yards between those two co-starters while Gerald Holmes will come in during mop-up duty and put together a solid 50-yard performance of his own.

It won’t be until after this contest when people finally realize that Delton Williams will likely be using his redshirt. The running back corps are the deepest that they’ve been in a while — dating back to the loaded backfield of Edwin Baker, Larry Caper and Le’Veon Bell.
