Saturday was a special day for Tom Izzo. The legendary Michigan State basketball coach won his 354th Big Ten game, passing Bob Knight for most wins all-time in the conference.
Whenever Michigan State picks up a big win, fans flock to social media to see how the team celebrates the victory. With Izzo picking up a record-breaking win on the road in a "must have" game for the Big Ten title race, the celebration had to be huge.
And it didn't disappoint.
Here's how the team welcomed Izzo into the locker room following the big win:

The typical water bottle celebration but this one felt a little more special because Izzo was just elated with his arms in the air, embracing his players.
Not only did Izzo get to celebrate with his players and coaching staff, but he was treated to a FaceTime with his best friend Steve Mariucci who was actually there for Tuesday's game against Indiana but we know how that turned out. Mariucci made sure to call in right after the win.
Had to FT @SteveMariucci to join in on the celebration 🥳 pic.twitter.com/zOb10dkMJw

The celebration didn't stop in the locker room in Champaign, however.
When the team landed in East Lansing, the players and staff got together to welcome Izzo back again with a "354" and "Second to NOne" graphics. They celebrated with him again as they all watched the video of fellow coaches and big-time personalities in the sport congratulating him on his accomplishment and obviously Izzo got a little choked up while watching.

This had to be one of the most special nights for Izzo and you could tell that he appreciated all the love he got from his players and colleagues. Hopefully this is the win that kickstarts a deep March run and a push for the Big Ten title. It sure feels that way.
