A report from Chris Hummer of 247Sports surfaced earlier on Wednesday afternoon regarding a potential Michigan State football visit from FCS All-American tackle Conner Moore.

That drew the attention of Spartan fans everywhere because if there's one position group on the roster that could use the most help and could be the difference between bowling and sitting at home watching in December and January, it's that offensive line.

In 2024, it was unremarkable and left a lot to be desired. Jonathan Smith and Jim Michalczik are working to change that for 2025.

Moore would be a good start.

Well, the FCS All-American and No. 1 available offensive tackle in the transfer portal, per 247Sports, has locked in his visit date, according to Justin Thind. He'll be in East Lansing this coming weekend.

Moore will be in East Lansing on Jan. 10, according to his agent, and that's a huge development considering the visit was just being mentioned on Wednesday afternoon. He was planning a trip to Cincinnati already and both Ohio State and Michigan State were lobbying to get one, too. Now, Moore will be on campus just days later and that means Smith and Co. can sell him on playing time immediately.

Being from Ohio, it's not going to be easy for Moore to say 'no thanks' to Ohio State and Cincinnati, but with the potential to be the top lineman on Michigan State's roster immediately and play a part in turning the program around, the decision won't be an easy one for the Montana State star.

Let's hope Smith and Co. can close this weekend.
