Tom Izzo’s still got it, folks.

The 2026 class has been one of the most talked about subjects regarding Michigan State athletics since the end of the 2024-25 season which produced an Elite Eight and Big Ten title, and it’s becoming one of the most celebrated groups of commits in probably a decade.

About 10 years ago, Izzo landed a class with Cassius Winston, Josh Langford, Miles Bridges, and Nick Ward, and the rest was history. That group produced a Final Four, three Big Ten titles, and an NBA Lottery pick. Its final NCAA Tournament run was cut short due to COVID-19, however, so we’ll never be able to talk about that class producing a national title — some argue 2020 was MSU’s to lose.

Fast forward a decade, and Izzo might just be landing ‘The Class 2.0’.

Carlos Medlock Jr. and Julius Avent were already committed to the Spartans, but on Wednesday, four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis made it official and committed to Michigan State.

With the commitment, Michigan State now has one of the best recruiting classes in the country which was ranked No. 27 before he made his decision official.

Jervis is ranked the No. 35 overall prospect and second-best shooting guard in the class, according to the composite. He’s been rising rapidly this summer, and even On3 bumped him all the way up to No. 22 in their rankings update this past week.

Michigan State now holds commitments from Jervis, Medlock Jr., and Avent, giving the program three legit top-75 prospects with one more potentially on the way.
