Michigan State football fans have had their fair share of gripes regarding Spartan Stadium and the fact that it's become a bit of an eyesore in recent years.
The stadium is over 100 years old, and it definitely looks like it in certain areas.
Everyone has knocked the dingy look of it from the outside as well as the inside in the upper decks. But fans have lobbied for updates, even if they are just cosmetic, to the dingy looking concrete.
Ask and you shall receive.
On Monday, Emmett Matasovsky of Spartan Shadows posted a picture of the upper deck, which got a fresh new paint/wrap job on the walls opposite the press box.

Prior to this paint job, the walls just looked bare and in desperate need of an upgrade. This is a great start, and I'd love to see this Greek pattern utilized more within Spartan Stadium. We see this pattern on the uniforms, and it's been part of the program for years, but leaning fully into it would be a welcome sight.
Michigan State fans got a sneak peak into the new-look Spartan Stadium on Monday, but also the upgraded video board in the end zone with the new, massive Spartan logo on the outside have been teased by fans and members of the media over the past couple of weeks. Spartan Stadium has been given a nice, little facelift this offseason, but there's still plenty of work to do.
It's a good start, but this is just going to make fans hungrier for upgrades.
