Just when you think Michigan State basketball might be out of the woods concerning any major offseason injuries, another rumors pops up that has everyone hitting the panic button.
Although it is just a rumor at this point, there is reason to believe that it's true given the number of trusted accounts on X posting about it. And the news would be devastating.
According to this rumor, Kaleb Glenn is expected to miss an extended period of time (maybe even the entire season) with a torn patellar tendon.

Consider this a rumor for now, as no major source has confirmed it publicly, though I believe it to be true.

Again, take this with a grain of salt because no legitimate inside source has broken anything but when we see guys like Graham Couch post something, you can assume it to be true.
For now, all we can do is speculate about the biggest rumor to hit Michigan State basketball this offseason and you know that if it is true, Tom Izzo is already trying to figure out a solution. Losing a potential starting-caliber wing and a guy who would likely be your top 3-point shooter is not ideal, but that means some other guys are going to have to step up.
We'll have to see more of freshman year Jordan Scott as well as more Kur Teng minutes. Glenn was expected to be a sixth man type of player, coming in at the three for Coen Carr more than likely. Unfortunately, the three will have to be a combination of Carr, Teng (if Izzo sees him defending opposing threes), and Scott. Scary to think about the lack of experience there, but this will also expedite the growth of the young guys.
As of right now, this is just a rumor, but it has yet to be shot down and it's spreading like wildfire.
Let's hope Kaleb Glenn isn't seriously hurt because a mid-season return wouldn't be completely out of the question. The recovery time for a torn patellar tendon is 3-12 months, per multiple medical sites on Google. However, I read that it's three months to walk normally, six months to start running, and nine months to return to a sport. If that's true, then he is out for the year.
Hopefully this rumor remains just a rumor.
