Saturday night was a movie in East Lansing. Michigan State football fans packed Spartan Stadium in hopes of helping the Spartans cruise to a big Week 2 revenge win over Boston College.

And it helped. The Spartans took Boston College down in double overtime.

A 42-40 game means that there were plenty of exciting highlight plays, and Michigan State didn't disappoint in that category. Here are my top three plays from Saturday's win, ranked.

3. Alante Brown kick return

One play that continues to get overlooked is Alante Brown's kick return which set Michigan State up nicely when it was down 14-7 in the first half. The momentum that the Spartans had built in the first quarter up 7-0 disappeared when Boston College scored two quick touchdowns.

Brown made sure to snag that momentum right back with a huge return that started with a slight miscue.

Brown dropped the kickoff, didn't panic, picked it up, and ran to the Boston College 35 for a massive gain, setting Michigan State up for the game-tying touchdown in the second quarter.

While Brown hasn't had an impact on offense like he had hoped when he transferred to Michigan State, he's making his presence felt on special teams.

2. Omari Kelly game-winning catch

The 2-point conversion play-call in the second overtime was one of my favorite plays of the game, and you could argue that this was the best highlight, but No. 1 on this list is pretty solidified.

Aidan Chiles took the snap, rolled to his right, where he looked for his first read in Jack Velling, and when he saw he was covered, he quickly scanned to his left and saw Omari Kelly headed for the corner of the end zone with a step on his defender. He threw a perfect pass to Kelly for the game-winning score.

I wish I could watch this live again.

1. Nick Marsh TD

The best play of the game, in my eyes, was Nick Marsh's catch at the 7-yard-line on a slant from Chiles where he dragged a defender into the end zone and trucked a couple of others.

This was one of those "he wants it more" touchdowns. Marsh could've gone down on first, second, or third contact, but he saw the end zone and wasn't going to be denied. The pass was good, the catch was good, but the yards after catch really stole the show.

This is going to be replayed for years, and it'll be on the highlight reel after he's drafted.
