What to expect from Michigan State football in EA Sports College Football 25
By Kaleb Kraus
The last time you could play Michigan State football in a video game was in Madden NFL 22 when the Spartans were one of the featured teams in the career mode as one of the college teams the player could choose to lead to the college football playoff championship.
That wasn't much, as Madden has certainly had its weak points, you have to go back to NCAA Football 14, for the last real college football video game experience.
That game was set in the 2013 season, prior to Michigan State winning the 100th Rose Bowl. That was over a decade ago, and I like many others have been dying to see it return.
That will change on July 19, as EA Sports reported as the official release date for the new game.
Michigan State football shared a screen-shot of Sparty in action in the trailer to via their X page.
It wasn't much but it certainly got me thinking about what to expect in this new game.
The chance to once again play a video game with my alma mater, is just a great feeling. The opportunity to create a player and play for the college of your choice, or in this case Michigan State has me recalling my youth.
Building a dynasty with Michigan State is certainly going to be fun, especially with the real players in the game.
The idea that you can play as new Spartan quarterback Aidan Chiles and try to turn him into a Heisman winner, is one of the first things I look forward to doing.
That isn't the only thing to keep an eye on, as the stadium atmosphere and the marching bands and music. Who can forget the most important figure in the game Sparty? To be able to see him making his famous run out of the Spartan Stadium tunnel.
July can't come soon enough.
