Was Aidan Chiles snubbed in latest EA Sports College Football 25 update?

EA Sports College Football 25 is almost here and I for one cannot wait. We’ve seen countless updates come out over the past few months regarding the video games style of play as well as some team and player ratings.

A few days ago we learned what Michigan State quarterback Aidan Chiles’ rating would be in the video game, and in all honesty EA Sports ranked Chiles pretty fairly. However, EA Sports just released their top 100 college football players in the video game and Chiles was not included.

Was this the correct decision or should Chiles have been included as one of the 100 best college football players?

The above graphic shows the top 100 players according to College Football 25, and Chiles (and no other Spartan for that matter) are included.

If we’re being honest with ourselves, Chiles is probably the only Michigan State player with a case to be included, but unfortunately he was left off the list. And even though I’m the probably one of the biggest MSU homers out there, I think EA Sports got it right.

Don’t get me wrong, I do think Chiles could become one of the top players in the country and I wouldn’t be surprised if he proved that this fall, but he hasn’t proven himself on the field enough to be considered this high in the rankings yet.

Yes he’s coming off a very solid true freshman season at Oregon State where he completed 69 percent of his passes (24-for-35) for 309 yards and four touchdowns. But that is too small of a sample size, especially as a backup quarterback, to be a top 100 player.

Now that Chiles has the reigns of the Michigan State offense, he has a chance to play his way into the top 100 this season. Nobody can deny that it’s possible for him to do so, it’s just a matter of if he will or not.

And if I had to bet on it, I’m putting my money on Chiles to shock the world this season with a dominant campaign under center.
