5. Kur Teng

Incoming freshman Kur Teng has been fairly consistent so far at Moneyball and has averaged 18.8 points per game. I’ll be honest, Teng hasn’t been overly impressive, but he has shown us glimpses of his elite 3-point jump shot, the thing he is most known for.

Through four Moneyball games, Teng has poured in seven 3-pointers so far. While that is pretty solid, his overall scoring isn’t what I’d hope it’d be at for Moneyball when nobody plays defense.

To me it seems like Teng just isn’t being as aggressive as he could be when looking for his shot. That’s not really a bad thing, but for him to become a more consistent scorer especially from behind the arc, he’s going to need to be a little more selfish.

Teng’s 3-point shooting is the one thing that Michigan State will need this season from him, so I hope to see him light it up from deep throughout the rest of Moneyball so he can build some confidence heading into the season.
