1. Wesley Cadet Jr., Chicago State

The first of two portal entrants I think Izzo would be wise to reach out to is guard Wesley Cadet Jr. from Chicago State. Cadet is coming off a very impressive season averaging 18.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He also fits the mold of a player that Izzo is looking for in the portal, being a bigger guard who can rebound the ball.

Cadet is 6-foot-6 and as I mentioned averages 4.5 rebounds per game. So he checks those two boxes in the type of player Izzo is looking for. Cadet also shoots an efficient 34 percent from 3-point range, which is another quality Izzo is looking for. Michigan State next season doesn't have a lot of proven shooters on the team, so Cadet would be a great option to help space the floor.

Cadet also is entering the NBA draft while mainting his collegiate eligibility, but I think it's more than likely that he returns for one more season in college. So since Cadet likely will see the NBA draft process out and not commit any time soon, I think it would be a good idea for Izzo to keep him warm while MSU waits for a decision from Fidler.
