Top recruits speak highly of Michigan State football after win against Prairie View
Michigan State football's 2025 recruiting class is sitting with a very healthy 16 commits right now, and while that is a solid number to have midway through September it is by no means enough quite yet.
Thankfully for MSU fans, Jonathan Smith and his staff have not slowed down on the recruiting trail one bit. With the season in full swing Smith and his staff are using that opportunity to host a lot of their remaining targets as well as some top players in the future recruiting classes on visits to take in a game at Spartan Stadium. And by all accounts these visits seem to be leaving a positive impression on these recruits visiting.
Jason Killop of On3 shared the following quotes from the recruits who visited during Michigan State's dominant 40-0 win over Prairie View A&M this past Saturday.
"The players and coaches bounce off each others energy and it makes me want to put the pads on."
"The best part of the visit was the energy inside of the stadium.
"That Michigan State team is a bunch of dogs."
Unfortunately none of these quotes shared by Killop make me confident that a commitment is on the horizon, but it is still nice to see recruits say these things about the program. The atmosphere surrounding the program is clearly having an impact on these recruits and the perfect 3-0 start by Michigan State isn't hurting the recruiting effort either.
It likely is just a matter of time until Michigan State gets their next commit in the 2025 class. It is unclear at this time who could be inching closer to announcing their commitment, but signing period is just a few months away so recruits will likely start dropping like flies any day now.
Let's just hope more than a few choose the green and white.
