2. Double-double one day after Winston’s brother passed
Second on my list is Cassius Winton’s performance the day after his younger brother tragically took his own life.
Everyone would’ve understood had Winston chose to skip this game, but Winston wanted to play as that’s what his brother would’ve wanted him to do. And play Winston did.
He finished with an impressive 17-point, 11-assist double-double in Michigan State’s dominant 100-47 win over Binghamton.

This potentially was Winston’s greatest inspirational moment as it shows just how much toughness he really had. You could see the heartbreak and emotions on everyone’s face all night long, but especially Winston’s.
But Winston showed us how strong he really was and had one of his best games of his career, which I’m sure would’ve made his brother extremely proud.
