Top 5 Michigan State basketball performances at 2024 Moneyball
4. Kur Teng -- Night 6
Incoming freshman Kur Teng has been a little quiet throughout Moneyball so far this summer. That is until this past Thursday when he finally made his presence known on night six of Moneyball.
Teng had an amazing performance on Thursday, going for 33 points and three made 3-pointers. Before this scoring outburst, his best game was 22 points which is a pretty average showing at Moneyball.
But it’s his 3-pointers that are huge because that’s what’s going to get him on the court in the regular season. Teng is one of the best shooters in the entire country for the 2024 class, and that’s what Izzo is bringing him to East Lansing for. Can Teng contribute elsewhere on the court? Absolutely. But his biggest strength will always be his shooting from deep.
So Teng needs to stay hot from deep if he’s going to see a significant amount of playing time this season for Michigan State. The team is in desperate need of outside shooting this season, so hopefully Teng will be able to contribute to that this season.
