2. Frankie Fidler -- Night 3

New Michigan State transfer Frankie Fidler has probably been the most impressive Spartan overall throughout Moneyball so far. But it was his performance on night three that left many speechless.

Fidler got off to a fast start at Moneyball, scoring 32 and 40 points in the first two games. I was already super impressed with this, but then Fidler somehow took it up another notch. During his third game, Fidler scored 45 points which included six made 3-pointers.

It was at this moment that I realized just how special Fidler could be. You never know what to expect from new Michigan State players at the beginning of Moneyball. I always wonder if they’ll assert their dominance immediately or be a little reserved since they’re the new guy. But Fidler came to play from the get-go and he’s shown what he’s made of.

Can Fidler keep this up going into the regular season? Obviously Michigan State can’t rely on him to score 40 points, but he’s coming off a season at Omaha where he averaged 20 points per game. If he can get anywhere near that number then Tom Izzo will be a very happy man.
