8. Jay Vincent

If Jay Vincent's final two seasons in the NBA were anything like his first seven, he'd probably be much higher on this list and his career in the league likely would've lasted far longer.

Vincent was actually one of the brightest young stars in the league in his first few years, even finishing third in Rookie of the Year voting and making a run at the MVP almost immediately. He averaged 21.4 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field as a rookie and continued that level of play in year two with a slight dip in his numbers.

Vincent did struggle in his third season, averaging just 11 points per game, but he bounced right back in year four and was a top-five finisher in Sixth Man of the Year voting.

In his first seven seasons in the NBA, Vincent averaged at least 11 points per game and was a solid contributor off the bench. But in his final two seasons, he bounced around quite a bit, playing in just 70 total games for four different teams. It was a tough end to a promising career.

Still, he averaged 15.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 576 career games over nine years.
