Michigan State and Tom Izzo have seen a lot of movement in their roster and team already this offseason. Mady Sissoko has already entered the transfer portal and AJ Hoggard has declared for the NBA draft as well. Izzo has even recently shared that Hoggard will not be returning to MSU if he does decide to pursue one more year of college ball.

So that leaves us with one final question regarding the Spartan seniors. Where will Mady Sissoko end up? There will always be a slim chance that he returns to Michigan State, but that is seeming more and more unlikely as the days go by. But Tom Izzo made a recent appearance on the Tim Staudt Radio Show and shared what schools Sissoko is pursuing in the portal.

Where is Mady Sissoko going to transfer?

It appears that Sissoko might be heading west, as the four suitors mentioned by Izzo are all on the west coast. They include Washington, Cal, San Diego State, and Colorado.

I honestly don’t have much of a preference where Sissoko transfers to, but I must admit it’d be cool if he went to Washington. With the Huskies joining the Big Ten next season, that would setup at least one matchup where Michigan State would play Sissoko next season. And who knows, maybe that game would happen at the Breslin Center in a return game for Sissoko.

Regardless, I hope it works out for Sissoko wherever he ends up. I know he never turned into the player we hoped for at Michigan State, but Sissoko is one of the best humans out there and he deserves to have one final great season before his college career ends.
