Tom Izzo may be approaching retirement age, but do you think that means the Michigan State basketball coach is taking it easy in the offseason?

Absolutely not.

We've already seen him lock up official visits from some of his top targets like Trey McKenney, Jordan Scott, Trent Sisley, Davion Hannah, and Jalen Haralson, among others, but he's not done recruiting. He is working on some new names, too.

Izzo's top targets in the 2025 class have been made known over the past couple of weeks with all of these planned official visits for the fall, but there's another name to keep an eye on.

Dwayne Aristode.

The five-star small forward from New Hampshire could be a surprise addition to the recruiting board, especially if you pay attention to experts who have interviewed him. Michigan State has come up in conversation with Aristode -- you'll have to subscribe to see what he said.

All this does is show me that Izzo is not content with his recruiting board sitting at just a handful of "maybe" recruits. He has yet to land a single commitment in the 2025 class and expanding his board with a guy like Aristode can't hurt, especially since he's one of the most impressive uncommitted players in the cycle.

In fact, Aristode stands 6-foot-7 and weighs in at 185 pounds and the prospect originally from The Netherlands just looks the part of a solid Big Ten wing.

Aristode is the No. 18 overall recruit and third-best small forward in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He's also drawing interest from the likes of Duke, UConn, and UCLA.

This would be a heck of a late-cycle win for Tom Izzo and Michigan State.
