2. Smith shares his thoughts on the offensive line's progress

The next thing that I loved to hear from Smith was his discussion on the offensive line's progress. According to SpartanMag, Smith shared that this was one of the offensive line's best days out of the 15 practices they had this spring.

Smith also said, "We still have a ways to go on that front, but I like the progress they are making."

It is no secret that games are won and lost in the trenches and that one of the most important positions on the field is the offensive line. It also is no secret that the Spartan's offensive line has struggled in years past. Even in the magical season with Kenneth Walker III in 2021, the line wasn't all that great.

So it is refreshing to hear that this position has shown a lot of improvement this spring. If Michigan State is going to exceed expectations this season, a lot of it will be because of the offensive line's improvements. And so far that appears to be happening.
