4. Darius Adams

Let’s jump into an update for another five-star recruit Izzo and Michigan State are after.

Darius Adams is a five-star guard from La Porte, Ind., and is the No. 17 player in the country according to 247Sports. Adams is a product of La Lumiere which has given us a few Michigan State basketball stars in recent years in Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jeremy Fears Jr. So Izzo’s already rich history and success with this program should help him in this recruitment.

Michigan State will be hosting Adams on an official visit Sept. 20, but they unfortunately are one of six schools with a scheduled visit coming up. UConn, NC State, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Tennessee will also bring Adams in for a visit as well.

Michigan State has hosted Adams on an unofficial visit last season, so the interest has been high from both parties for quite some time. So hopefully that helps the Spartans in the long run.

Adams has announced that he will commit in mid-October, so we won’t have to wait much longer to learn Michigan State’s fate with Adams.
