Michigan State basketball is yet to earn a commitment in the 2025 class yet. While that may scare you a little considering summer’s almost over, I don’t believe it’s time to panic yet.

I think this because most of Michigan State’s targets haven’t announced their commitments yet. So until their targets start picking other schools then I don’t feel there’s any cause for concern.

So where does Michigan State and Tom Izzo stand with all of their top targets?

MSU has seen positive developments recently with 10 recruits, nine of which are ranked in the top 50, so let’s dive in and see where Michigan State stands with each.

1. Niko Bundalo

First up is a target who may be one of Izzo’s most sought after of them all. Four-star forward Niko Bundalo.

Bundalo is a Midwest product from Hudson, Ohio, who is the No. 23 player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He very recently announced his top eight schools, which of course Michigan State was included in. Kentucky, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, UConn, Xavier, and Texas also made the cut for Bundalo as well.

While making any prospects top right is always exciting, it appears that the Spartans may unofficially be even higher on Bundalo’s list as well. This is because they are one of four schools who have scheduled an official visit with Bundalo as well.

Michigan State will host Bundalo in about a month on Sept. 6. UConn, North Carolina, and Ohio State are the three other schools with upcoming official visits at this time to round out his top four.

This will be a very difficult recruitment to win considering there are two blue bloods and a hometown school involved, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this recruitment swings Michigan State’s way in the end.
