7. Jaden Akins

Jaden Akins needs to be ready to become the leader of this team this season. That’s why it was extremely important to see him shine at Moneyball, and that’s exactly what he did.

Akins may have only played in six games this summer, but those six games were extremely impressive. Akins averaged 32.3 points per game including 4.7 three-pointers per game. His best game of all came on the fifth night of Moneyball when he exploded for 47 points and eight 3-pointers.

That’s the exact player that Akins needs to be this year for MSU. Obviously we don’t expect him to score that much, but he needs to be the alpha of this team and the guy Michigan State can turn to when they desperately need a bucket. That’s what he showed at Moneyball this summer, now we need to hope that it continues into the regular season.

I can’t wait to see how great senior year Akins is.
