10. 2020-21

Unfortunately, the worst team in the last 10 years is such an easy selection, but to me, this is a no-brainer. Let me first share the positive that even in Michigan State's worst season in the last decade, the team still found a way to make the NCAA Tournament and upset some good teams along the way.

However, a 15-13 (9-11 Big Ten) team just doesn't cut it in East Lansing.

This team, led by Aaron Henry, barely squeaked its way into March Madness. They started the season 6-0 with a road win at Duke, but the wheels fell off midway through the season and the Spartans were relegated to the NCAA Tournament's First Four. Not only did they play in the First Four, but they lost to UCLA in heartbreaking fashion after giving up a big second-half lead.

Sure this squad had a lot of good wins, including three top-five wins in their final six regular season games, but the team just struggled all season long. The Spartans didn't have an alpha on the team until Aaron Henry turned it on at the end of the season, and they lost countless games that we just aren't used to losing at Michigan State.

So as much as it pains me to list any team as the worst, for me, this squad takes that spot and I honestly don't think it's very close.
