Small Forward

Next up is the small forward, and I don't think there will be much debate for the majority of minutes at this position either. However, instead of it being a returner like Akins at shooting guard, this will be a new face in Frankie Fidler, who just committed to the program last month.

Fidler averaged 20.1 points per game last season and played a whopping 36 minutes per game. His former team needed him to play that much to be competitive, but Michigan State will not need him to play that much this season. I think he will get 28 minutes per game while being the starter in every game as well.

We will also get our first look at redshirt freshman Gehrig Normand who will be ready to make an impact on the court for the first time. I think the Spartans need his elite 3-point shooting, so I'm going to give him 10 minutes per game this season at small forward.

Lastly is Coen Carr who I think will get two minutes per game at this position. I think Carr will get a majroity of his minutes as a power forward, so he will be mentioned at that position as well, but Carr has the ability to play this position as well so I think he will fill in from time to time.
