Point Guard

Point guard is one of the starting spots that I think is wide open as Michigan State heads into next season. With AJ Hoggard now gone, it opens the door for either Tre Holloman or Jeremy Fears Jr. to become the starter. While both guys would be fine with me at the end of the day, I think Fears will become the starter and play about 25 minutes per game.

I personally do think Fears is a better player than Holloman, but Holloman will still see plenty of playing time at point guard this year as well. I will give Holloman 12 minutes per game which may seem low, but I think Holloman will also play on the wing this season as well. So he'll get more minutes later in this post to give him a full load.

Then finally, the last three minutes will go to incoming freshman Jase Richardson. I think Richardson will be more than capable of holding his own as a true freshman, but Fears and Holloman are far better options so he will have to sit behind them this season.
