Wide Receiver 2: Alante Brown

The next two options are tough to predict simply because there aren’t any more obvious choices available like Foster. But next up I’m going with a veteran receiver in Alante Brown.

Brown is entering his fifth and final season in college and second season with Michigan State. He began his career at Nebraska where he spent three seasons with the Cornhuskers. With Nebraska, his best season came in 2022 when he recorded 16 catches for 191 yards.

Last offseason is when Brown transferred to Michigan State where he played in 2023. He unfortunately didn’t have great numbers, only recording three catches for 27 yards. But Brown also got involved in the offense in other ways as well. He received 10 carries all last season and even completed one pass for 42 yards as well.

But even with Brown’s subpar numbers, I think he’ll be ready to become a starter this season. He has a lot of precious experience at the college level already which will go a long ways this season. He also doesn’t need to be the top receiver on the team, so there isn’t a ton of pressure for him to be dominant which could be helpful for him as well.
