Predicting the final score of Michigan State football's next 5 games
All offseason the biggest talking point was the gauntlet that Michigan State football would have to go through during the middle of their season. However, the Spartan's next opponent in Boston College looks much stronger than we ever expected, so Michigan State's next five games might be the toughest stretch in program history.
Thankfully for Michigan State fans, I don't think the team, Jonathan Smith, or the coaching staff are scared one bit. Especially after they went into Maryland and won 27-24 as big underdogs, I think the belief is there that they can compete and win some of these games.
But how many games will Michigan State? That is the question I will answer with my final score predictions for the Spartans' next five games.
1. at Boston College
Next up for Michigan State is a game that looks a lot more difficult now than it did at the beginning of the season. The Spartans are heading back to Maryland once again this time for a non-conference showdown with Boston College.
The Eagles enter this game with a 2-1 record after a decent road win at Florida State and a 56-0 drubbing of Duquesne. The one loss is a quality loss that came on the road against a top 10 Missouri team 27-21.
Michigan State, however, is a much better team this season than expected just like Boston College, so this has all the makings of being an extremely close game. It likely will come down to the final possession just like two weeks ago against Maryland, and I see a similar result occurring again in MSU's favor.
Prediction: Michigan State wins 31-28
