Well, what a run on the recruiting trail the Michigan State football coaching staff is coming off of. Let’s say it simply: the Spartans have been on fire.

Now that official visit season has wound down and the flurry of commitments will seemingly slow down for now, let’s take a minute to take stock. Take a breath and reflect for a second you might say.

Overall, the Spartans hosted 27 official visitors in the past month. Since the first round of official visits started on May 31, the Spartans have landed nine commitments, bringing the class to 14 commits. Per the 247Sports rankings, that will put MSU good for 39th in overall class rank. While that may seem lower than people would like, this class is loaded with high-upside potential.

They may not start as the highest ranking class but I would not be surprised to see a lot of starters come from this class in a few years, should development plans hold.

So with that all in mind, let’s take a review of who’s in the class, who might still be joining it so on, the players we may miss out on, and what potentially comes next.
